Welcome to the Letter in the Attic website!

Throughout 2008, we're collecting letters and diaries related to Brighton and Hove. We're looking for love letters, diaries of daily life, travel journals, war letters....written centuries ago or in the last few years.

We want to help people look after these precious personal papers. We also want to celebrate their value in a new book and an education pack for schools.

By the end of 2008, the complete Letter in the Attic catalogue will be published on this website. For now, you can get a sense of the fascinating letters and diaries we're receiving by looking at our online exhibition on the My Brighton and Hove website.
